Immigration lawyers are citing two reasons for an increased interest in EB-5. The first is that the RIA has increased investor confidence in the program thanks to heightened investor protection and the visa set-asides which allow new investors from backlogged countries to avoid a wait of many years for a visa. The second reason is global uncertainty due to political and economic tensions in countries like Brazil, China, Iran, and Ukraine.
